John Urschel is an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens.
His rookie contract was worth $2m. He had over $500,000 in his first year alone.
Yet he lives on about $25,000 a year and drives a $9,000 Nissan and has a roommate to save on expenses.
He’s also considered one of the smartest players in the NFL, having gotten a Masters in Mathematics and even had a paper published in the Journal of Computational Mathematics titled “A Cascadic Multigrid Algorithm for Computing the Fiedler Vector of Graph Laplacians” (your guess is as good as mine on what that’s about).
And according to John, he’s loving his lifestyle and living the dream. I’m not mad about that at all.
